Consultant (Mapping Public / Private Sector and Social Protection Policies and Programmes)

ActionAid Nigeria is seeking a consultant to map public and private sector actors whose work aligns with the objectives of the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Project.

What it offers

• A short-term consultancy of 25 days with deliverables phased over 25 days:
  • Inception Report (5 days after contract signing)
  • Draft Mapping Report (15 days)
  • Final Mapping Report and Stakeholder Database (4 days)
  • Presentation of Findings (1 day)

Who can apply

• Advanced degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5–7 years of demonstrated experience in stakeholder mapping, partnership development, institutional analysis, or gender programming.
• Strong understanding of public and private sector engagement approaches.
• Experience working on women’s rights, gender equality, governance, social protection, or development programmes.
• Excellent analytical, research, facilitation, and report writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of the national development and gender equality landscape.

What you'll do

• Identify key public sector ministries, departments and agencies relevant to gender equality, women’s rights, economic empowerment and social protection.
• Identify private sector actors such as corporations, enterprises and financial institutions with a mandate and interest in women’s empowerment and gender-responsive corporate social responsibility.
• Assess public and private sector actors’ mandates, influence and interventions related to RWVL goal.
• Assess opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, advocacy, funding and technical support which RWVL can leverage.
• Recommend strategic approaches for stakeholder engagement with relevant actors at all levels.
