Program Officer – Policy and Advocacy

The Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF) is hiring a Program Officer – Policy and Advocacy for a full-time, three-year renewable contract in Uganda (preferably Ugandan nationals) or Nairobi, Kenya. This role focuses on policy development, advocacy, and supporting farmer organizations across Eastern Africa. The position requires a master’s degree in a relevant field and five years of experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or NGO work, with opportunities for extension beyond the initial term.⁠‌‌‌​‌​‌‌​‌​​​​‌‌​​​​‌‌‌​​‌‌​​​‌​⁠

The officer will manage EAFF’s policy strategies, build member capacities, attend regional events, and contribute to fundraising through new projects. Experience in agriculture, economics, or development policy is essential, though not strictly required beyond the stated qualifications.
