About this opportunity
Early-career African women lawyers gain legal experience, training, and mentorship in justice/rights organizations across Africa.
Clooney Foundation for Justice (CFJ) Fellowship Programme 2026 offers an annual fellowship for early-career African women lawyers to enhance their skills in strategic litigation, legal advocacy, and representation. The programme, now in its fourth year, places ten fellows in organizations across Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, and The Gambia to work on human rights cases, particularly those related to child marriage and violence against women and children. Fellows receive hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge technology for justice, while joining a network of alumni for ongoing support. The programme is administered in partnership with the Legal Empowerment Fund at the Fund for Global Human Rights and Microsoft’s AI for Good Lab.
