About this opportunity
Fully funded scholarship for African students to study actuarial science/risk management in South Africa, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, or Senegal, focusing on climate resilience leadership.
The ARC–GSSP Scholarship Programme is a partnership between African Risk Capacity Ltd (ARC Ltd) and the Global Shield Solutions Platform (GSSP) to support African students pursuing postgraduate studies in actuarial science, risk management, and related fields. This initiative aims to build Africa’s resilience to climate change by training the next generation of climate risk leaders. The scholarship covers full tuition, a living stipend, travel support, and additional expenses, along with mentorship, career development, and an internship opportunity through ARC Ltd’s networks. Applicants must commit to working in Africa for two years post-graduation and secure admission to one of ARC’s partner universities in Africa, such as the University of Cape Town, École Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Économie Appliquée (ENSEA), or the Institut Interafricain de Formation en Assurance et en Gestion des Entreprises (IFAGE).
