The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mali is seeking a Specialist in Institutional Analysis to support strategic planning and policy development. This role focuses on assessing how institutions function and interact within Mali’s governance framework, aiming to improve development outcomes through evidence-based recommendations. Who can apply

Applicants must be citizens of a UN Member State (or hold a valid work permit/residence status in Mali). Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional analysis, public policy, or related fields is required. What you'll do

• Conduct institutional assessments of government agencies, civil society organizations, and development partners to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop strategic recommendations for UNDP’s programs, ensuring alignment with Mali’s national development priorities.
• Support policy dialogue with government stakeholders to co-design solutions for institutional challenges.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of institutional reforms, providing feedback to UNDP teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate institutional analysis into broader development projects.
