International Master in Contemporary Challenges in the World of Work (WOCC)

The International Master in Contemporary Challenges in the Worlds of Work (WOCC) is a bilingual, interdisciplinary programme focused on the transformations of work and employment, delivered across three countries by a consortium of six universities.

What it offers

• A four-semester interdisciplinary master delivered in French and either English or Spanish.
• Three specialisation tracks: research, public policy analysis, and professional practice.
• Two mandatory mobility periods: semesters 1 and 4 at Université de Lille; semesters 2 and 3 at two partner universities in Canada, Argentina, Belgium, Spain, Italy, or France.
• Multidiplomation: students receive the WOCC Master diploma plus the degrees from the two partner universities attended.
• Combines theoretical analysis, practical immersion, and international cooperation via mandatory internships and study trips to international institutions.

Who can apply

• Holders of a first-cycle university degree (licence, bachelor, or equivalent) in human and social sciences, law, economics, or humanities.
• Candidates from other disciplines may apply if they have relevant academic or professional experience.
• Required language proficiency: B2 level (or equivalent) in the language of instruction (French plus English or Spanish).

What you'll do

• Study four thematic axes: global dynamics of work and employment, public policy analysis, contemporary issues (sustainability, diversity, mental health, digital transformation), and analytical skills for labour-market changes.
• Develop one of three professional profiles: researcher (with potential PhD progression), public policy analyst, or field practitioner in companies, unions, or NGOs.
• Complete mandatory internships and study trips to international institutions.
