The AERC–World Bank Visiting Scholars Programme 2026/27 is a collaborative opportunity for African researchers affiliated with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) to spend four to six months at the World Bank, working on research relevant to economic development in Africa. The programme aims to enhance research capacity, strengthen global academic linkages, and support publication and analytical contributions to the World Bank’s Africa Region initiatives. Selected scholars will engage with World Bank researchers, revise draft papers for publication, present seminars, and contribute to ongoing research projects. Two awards will be granted annually for the 2026/27 cohort, with a deadline of September 6, 2026 for applications. The programme particularly encourages applications from women, francophone, and lusophone candidates.
