Android QA Engineer

An Android QA Engineer role in Uganda focuses on ensuring the quality of Android applications through test automation, scripting, and defect tracking. The position involves collaborating with automation teams to define and execute test plans, manage production tools, and report on QA activities.

What you'll do

• Perform test automation and utilize tools like Selenium and Eclipse Test Framework for efficiency.
• Develop and promote advanced usage techniques, including scripting, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Write and execute test plans, including Master Test Plans, and provide QA sign-off for projects.
• Manage the lifecycle of production tools for virtual reality and conduct testing for data-intensive critical applications.
• Supervise the creation of functional test scripts and report regularly on QA activities, including defect counts, patterns, and project status.

What we're looking for

• Solid experience in testing from both technical and customer perspectives.
• Familiarity with the platform’s technology and expertise in scripting languages like Python.
• Advanced degrees in computer science, software engineering, or information technology (nice to have).
