Maintenance Officer at Start-Rite Schools

Start-Rite Schools is seeking a Maintenance Officer to ensure the safety and functionality of its facilities in Lagos.

Who can apply

• Candidates with OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Building Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years relevant maintenance experience
• Practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and respond promptly to maintenance issues
• Previous experience in a school or similar environment is an added advantage

What you'll do

• Conduct routine inspections of school facilities and equipment
• Carry out basic repairs and coordinate major maintenance works
• Monitor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance needs
• Ensure classrooms, offices, and common areas are maintained to a high standard
• Supervise external contractors and service providers where necessary
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and inventory of tools and supplies
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
