Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a part-time Casual Merchandiser to maintain stock presentation and customer service standards at its Greystone Crossing store in Rustenburg.

Who can apply

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Up to 6 months’ retail experience
• Computer literate – MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours
• Able and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes
• Reliable transport and/or reside in close proximity to the store
• South African citizen
• Clear credit and criminal records

What you'll do

• Restock merchandise to ensure maximum sales
• Store and pack delivered stock correctly and timeously
• Ensure stock on shelves has not reached sell-by date
• Maintain the full range of products on shelves
• Facilitate stock rotation on a regular, FIFO basis
• Report low stock, out-of-stock items, damaged stock and expired stock
• Assist with stock counting and stocktaking
• Adhere to Dis-Chem’s operating standards, store layout and planograms
• Flatten boxes after unpacking and take them to the designated area
• Keep front shop shelves and products neatly presented with correct labels and pricing
• Report price discrepancies
• Build, face up, stock and maintain merchandising displays
• Maintain daily physical upkeep of store and merchandise displays
• Assist with loading and off-loading of stock
• Ensure items without barcodes are clearly marked
• Assist with back shopping and training of new staff
• Provide friendly, helpful and courteous customer assistance
• Follow up on out-of-stock customer queries
• Resolve customer stock queries
• Wear the correct uniform and badge at all times
• Minimise losses by handling merchandise carefully
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies, SOPs and health and safety rules
