One Acre Fund seeks a roaming supervisor to link field teams with farmers, ensuring crop quality, certification readiness, and smooth aggregation for avocado and macadamia in Kenya.

Who can apply

• Citizens or permanent residents of Kenya
• 2+ years’ work experience in an agricultural-related field
• Knowledge of the avocado and macadamia value chain is appreciated
• Experience planning field activities and coordinating smallholder teams

What you'll do

• Guide farmers on food safety, hygiene, and certification standards for avocado and macadamia
• Train farmers on best practices, pest control, and quality standards; prepare them for audits
• Carry out farm visits, risk assessments, and crop scouting
• Register and coordinate farmers through certification processes and inspections
• Act as a roaming aggregation agent across multiple zones, aligning harvests with export needs and directing macadamia to buying centers
• Prepare reports on field activities, certification progress, and operational needs
• Travel across assigned territories and adapt to temporary reassignments as needed
