Cytonn Asset Managers Limited is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Compliance Intern in Nairobi.

What it offers

• Exposure to anti-money laundering (AML) and suspicious transaction monitoring
• Insight into corporate governance, internal controls, compliance audits, and policy reviews
• Development of analytical, research, reporting, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Who can apply

• A Second Class Upper Degree in a finance-related field, Bachelor of Laws, or a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• Understanding of regulations and laws
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

What you'll do

• Assist in ensuring adherence to applicable regulations through day-to-day monitoring and regular reviews
• Support in identifying, assessing, controlling, and enforcing compliance risks
• Assist in identifying suspicious transactions and reporting them to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer
• Review company processes, operational manuals, and systems to ensure they meet regulations and requirements
• Identify compliance weaknesses and recommend remedial measures
• Follow up on the closure of the Compliance Gap Analysis/Tracker
