NM-AIST Opens Applications for Fully Funded EAC Master’s Scholarships 2026/27

NM-AIST and the East African Community are offering fully funded scholarships for four master’s programmes in Arusha, Tanzania, with a focus on regional integration and leadership.

What it offers

• Full tuition fees paid directly to NM-AIST
• One return economy-class air ticket between home country and Tanzania
• Arrival allowance of EUR 200
• Monthly stipend of EUR 380 for accommodation, meals and living expenses
• Study materials allowance of EUR 650
• One-time study and research allowance of EUR 1,500
• Medical insurance coverage for the duration of the scholarship
• Visa/entry pass fee where applicable
• Participation in at least one leadership/regional networking event

Who can apply

• Citizens of an EAC Partner State other than Tanzania (Burundi, DR Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Uganda)
• Applicants must be below 35 years of age at the time of application
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division, Distinction, or an equivalent qualification

What you'll do

• Pursue one of four approved Master’s degree programmes:
  • Master of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
  • Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Innovation
  • Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management
  • Master of Science in Embedded and Mobile Systems

How to apply

Applicants must complete both steps within the application window (20 August – 10 September 2026):

1. Apply for Admission to NM-AIST via the NM-AIST Online Admission System
2. Apply for the EACSP Scholarship via IUCEA’s dedicated portal and email the required supporting documents to eacsp@iucea.org and scholarships@adroitconsultinternational.com

Good to know

• Female applicants, persons with disabilities, and applicants from other disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply; the Programme targets at least 50% female participation among beneficiaries
• This is a mobility scholarship — applicants may not study within their own country of citizenship
