APHRC Hiring Quantitative Field Interviewers – Nairobi

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is recruiting Quantitative Field Interviewers to support data collection for the INNOVATE project in Nairobi County, Kenya.

What it offers

• Temporary contract role supporting vaccine safety surveillance data collection.

Who can apply

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C Plain.
• Experience in electronic data capture methods (e.g., SurveyCTO, tablets).
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili.
• Residents of Nairobi County only.
• Availability to work full-time from September to October 2026.
• Previous experience in Korogocho and Viwandani is an added advantage.

What you'll do

• Attend all training and data collection days.
• Obtain informed consent from study participants.
• List all existing structures and rentable rooms in study sites.
• Conduct interviews using tablets and record responses.
• Participate in daily debrief meetings.
• Safeguard APHRC data collection equipment during fieldwork.
• Follow safeguarding procedures throughout data engagement.
