Reception Engineer

Dangote Industries Limited is seeking a Reception Engineer to support workshop operations at its Ndola Cement facility.

• A role assisting the Workshop Supervisor with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual workshop repairs and maintenance reporting
• Responsibility for quarterly/annual performance appraisals of workshop personnel
• Technical advice and assistance to team members
• Liaison between top management and workshop staff on departmental and corporate developments
• Monitoring workflow to anticipate impacts of absences, delays, or changes in plans
• Reviewing service orders and inspecting technicians’ repairs before vehicle release
• Physical inspections of trucks before and after workshop repairs
• Workload planning and adjustment based on personnel skills
• Enforcement of safe work procedures and HSE adherence
• Parts and spares inventory management
• Job card closure and log book sign-off after repair completion

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Automotive/Heavy Duty Engineering or a related discipline from a government-recognized institution
• Minimum of five years of relevant work experience

• Assist Workshop Supervisor in generating workshop reports across multiple timeframes
• Conduct performance appraisals for workshop personnel
• Provide technical advice and act as a liaison between management and workshop staff
• Evaluate impacts of delays and plan appropriate responses
• Monitor workflow and anticipate disruptions
• Review service orders and inspect repair quality
• Perform pre- and post-repair truck inspections
• Assist in workload planning and HSE compliance
• Manage parts inventory and complete job documentation
