Who can apply
- Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics / Data Science, International Relations, Research Methods, or related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience
- Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary communications teams
- At least 3 years working in Africa, preferably in international NGOs, advocacy organisations, social justice movements, or media organisations
- Strong understanding of African political, environmental, and social contexts
What you'll do
- Design and implement MEL frameworks, indicators, targets, and data collection plans at organisational and programme levels
- Lead development of M&E strategy and ensure monitoring and data collection across programmes and geographies
- Develop M&E plans and log frames for all projects and programmes across GPAF offices
- Establish frameworks for quality assurance, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of project data
- Provide data analytics from project monitoring, needs assessments, research, and secondary sources to identify trends and learnings
- Support knowledge management in collaboration with communications teams
- Plan and deliver training on data quality assurance and MEL requirements for staff and country offices
- Conduct regular site visits to provide technical support and ensure proper monitoring of project activities
- Lead capacity building in MEL and research through staff training
- Review data collection processes and perform data quality assessments
