Benefits Specialist

SSM Health is seeking a fully remote Benefits Specialist to guide employees through benefit programs, handle enrollments and life events, and resolve complex questions while ensuring a seamless benefits experience.⁠​‌‌​‌‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​​‌‌​‌​‌‌​​‌‌​‌​​​⁠

What it offers

• A fully remote role for candidates residing in MO, IL, OK and WI
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Who can apply

• Preferred 2 or more years of experience in leave of absence administration, FMLA, or other related human resources experience
• Strong working knowledge of FMLA, state and local leave laws, disability, and paid leave administration
• Experience partnering with third-party disability vendors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Empathy and strong interpersonal skills

What you'll do

• Assist with the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs such as life insurance, health care coverage, disability, retirement and other related programs
• Recommend changes to benefits based on employee feedback and other data
• Coordinate the delivery of benefits and fund transfers with benefit vendors
• Support HR Business Partners with communication and administrative tasks for benefit programs
• Participate in the development of employee benefits policies and procedures
