The AWARD Leadership Program for Emerging African Women in Science 2026 is a tailored fellowship designed to equip young African women in science with leadership and innovation skills.

What it offers

• Highly interactive training sessions on leadership, mentoring, proposal writing, and communication skills
• One-on-one coaching sessions
• Training materials and mentorship provided at no cost

Who can apply

• High-potential female applicants under 35 years old
• Applicants must work in science and agriculture with at least five years of full-time sector experience
• Must hold a minimum of a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in any agricultural science discipline from a recognized university
• Must demonstrate commitment to growth, articulate career goals, and show ability to take on leadership responsibility
• Must reside in Africa and be currently actively engaged in agriculture-related professional work
• Applicants must not be a Fellow or Laureate of any other Fellowships offered by AWARD
