Who can apply

• Hold a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited School of Health Technology
• Have up-to-date complete registration and practicing license
• Hold certification from the Association of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN)
• Have 1–4 years of experience in a medical laboratory, hospital, or clinic
• Relevant medical laboratory certification is an added advantage

What you'll do

• Perform phlebotomy on adults and children
• Assist with laboratory functions and maintain checklists
• Operate automatic hematology and chemistry analyzers, pipettes, thermometers, balances, and other lab apparatus
• Label, sort, and record specimens; enter information into the computer system
• Manage laboratory inventory and use a Lab Information Management System for specimen tracking and reporting
• Communicate abnormal results to supervisory personnel, patients, physicians, or nurses
• Contribute to a safe environment by following established standards and procedures
• Run standards and controls, verify equipment function, calibrate equipment, and monitor quality control measures
