Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship for Child Development (Africa)

The Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship supports early- and mid-career researchers whose work advances children’s learning and development worldwide, with a special focus on interdisciplinary and scalable solutions.

What it offers

• Three-year fellowship funding sent directly to the fellow’s institution, covering part of the fellow’s salary and other research costs such as assistants’ salaries, equipment, travel, or trainee support.
• Non-financial benefits including access to interdisciplinary networks and collaboration opportunities.

Who can apply

• Researchers who have received their PhDs within the past 10 years.
• Applicants from disciplines including education sciences, psychology, economics, sociology, behavioral science, computer science, pedagogy, linguistics, neurosciences, and science of learning.
• Scholars pursuing interdisciplinary work and those focused on learner variability, evidence-based practice, and reducing inequalities in learning.

• Applications open each year by the end of November with a deadline in early February.
