Local Content Associate at Tetra Maritime

Tetra Maritime is recruiting a Local Content Associate to serve as its in-country representative in Abuja, liaising with regulators and partners across Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Who can apply

• BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Background in government liaison, regulatory affairs, documentation, or compliance within shipping, oil and gas, logistics, or a related sector.
• Established network among Nigerian authorities and industry contacts, or proven ability to build one quickly.
• Willingness to travel frequently between government offices and agencies across Abuja and Nigeria.

What you'll do

• Act as Tetra Maritime’s local point of contact in Abuja, meeting regularly with government officials, regulators, authorities (including NIMASA, Nigerian Ports Authority, Nigerian Customs), agencies, oil majors, terminals, agents, and local partners.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on documentation, permits, and approvals to ensure compliance with Nigerian maritime and trade regulations, including Cabotage, Local Content, and customs requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships across government bodies, partners, and stakeholders in Nigeria.
• Monitor developments in the Nigerian oil and gas sector and keep the group updated on new opportunities, regulatory changes, and market developments.
