Compensation & Benefits Specialist

Mota-Engil is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to implement rewards policies, manage payroll, and oversee benefits administration in Lagos.

What it offers

Who can apply

• Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resource, or equivalent
• Preferred qualifications: MBA, MSc, MA and/or professional certifications such as CIPM, SHRM or CIPD
• Experience: At least 7 years in Human Resources and 3+ years in a similar Compensation & Benefits role

What you'll do

• Implement and administer rewards and benefit policies
• Manage payroll, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Oversee employee compensation and benefits, including databases and benchmarking
• Design, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure competitiveness and compliance
• Monitor staff tax matters and manage pension schemes
• Analyse compensation policies and wage rates to develop competitive plans
• Handle salary increment and adjustment queries/disputes
• Design and manage compensation structures
• Prepare regular reports for the HR Manager – Payroll
• Conduct salary and labor market research to define benchmarks
• Conduct periodic audits and prepare reports
• Manage end-to-end employee HMO and Group Life Insurance
