What it offers

• Internships last 3 to 4 months, with a maximum of 90 days for non-residents due to visa regulations.
• A monthly allowance is provided by FES.
• Interns will support thematic research, report writing, event planning, office administration, policy events, and communications/social media tasks.

Who can apply

• Applicants should be in the final stages of a Master’s program in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Economics, International Relations, International Law, Journalism, African Studies).
• Must demonstrate interest in political, social, or development issues and the thematic areas of FES teams.
• Should be able to work independently, show initiative, and have strong communication, research, and social media skills.
• Proficiency in English is required.

What you'll do

• Conduct thematic research.
• Write reports and meeting minutes.
• Support event planning and general office administration.
• Attend seminars, conferences, and policy events in Addis Ababa.
• Assist with communications and social media tasks.
