Youth RISE is seeking a young professional to lead its High Level Communications and Advocacy Programme as a fully remote consultant, driving strategic communications and advocacy for the rights of young people who use drugs and marginalised communities.

• Consultancy fee of $8,332 USD for a four-month contract, with the possibility of extension depending on funding and performance.

Who can apply

• Applicants must be 34 years old or younger at the time of application.
• Must demonstrate understanding of Youth RISE’s mission and work.
• Experience in drug policy advocacy, human rights, and youth engagement is required.
• Strong project management, writing, and editing skills are essential.
• Experience with WordPress, Canva, and social media content creation is required.
• Knowledge of United Nations processes and civil society engagement is preferred.
• Must have excellent English communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

What you'll do

• Lead implementation of Youth RISE’s advocacy agenda and identify high-impact opportunities at national, regional, and international levels.
• Develop position papers, statements, and policy inputs.
• Support engagement with United Nations forums, including the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND).
• Manage and improve external communications, including social media, website content, blogs, videos, and digital materials.
• Support fundraising activities when required.
• Complete monthly reports and maintain project documentation.
