One Health Communications Internship 2026

Applications are now open for OHDI’s One Health Communications Internship Programme, a six-month opportunity for early-career professionals to gain practical experience in development and science communications.

What it offers

• Six-month internship with practical experience in development communications, science communication, One Health risk communication, and public engagement
• Monthly capacity-building sessions on communications topics
• A monthly stipend to support assigned tasks and deliverables
• A certificate of completion upon successful completion of the programme
• Opportunities to build a professional communications portfolio

Who can apply

• Students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals passionate about communications for development and social impact
• Applicants should:
  • Hold or be pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Marketing, International Development, or a related field
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in digital communications and storytelling
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be creative, proactive, organized, and willing to learn
  • Have experience and/or interest in social media management, graphic design, photography, videography, or content creation
  • Experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, social media management platforms, and AI productivity tools is encouraged

• Support communication activities across OHDI and affiliated programmes
• Participate in planning and strategy meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary programme teams
• Contribute to real-world communication projects alongside experienced professionals

  • Content Development & Science Communication
  • Graphic Design & Visual Communications
  • Multimedia & Digital Storytelling
  • Digital Communications & Website Management
