Operations Head - Fleet

Olam Agri is seeking an Operations Head – Fleet to lead logistics and fleet operations for its wheat milling business in Nigeria.

What it offers

• Dual role managing an in-house fleet and supporting monthly volume delivery via third-party trucks.
• Responsibility for fleet KPIs (mileage, revenue/km, utilization, profitability), route optimization, fuel and maintenance cost control, vehicle safety and compliance, and driver performance.
• Leadership of logistics and warehouse operations aligned with business and S&OP demand plans.
• People leadership, stakeholder and vendor management, and commercial negotiations.

Who can apply

• MBA from a top-tier institute (Sales, Marketing, Operations, or Agri-business preferred).
• 8–10 years of post-MBA experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain roles.
• Strong commercial and profit-center orientation, experience managing large teams, and scaling operations.

What you'll do

• Manage and optimize end-to-end logistics operations for cost-efficient, timely, and reliable goods movement.
• Plan fleet capacity, optimize routes, control fuel and maintenance costs, ensure vehicle availability and safety, and leverage fleet technology and analytics.
• Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities; drive service excellence and process improvements.
• Lead, develop, and engage logistics and fleet teams; support workforce planning and hiring.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage vendor relationships and contracts.
