The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yaoundé is seeking one Cameroonian orthoprothesist to support its Physical Rehabilitation Programme for a 12-month contract.

Who can apply

• Cameroonian nationals only
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in orthopaedic technology
• Qualified professional ISPO CAT II or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of orthoprothesist experience, including at least 5 years managing an orthopaedic workshop
• 2 years’ experience in an international organisation is an asset
• Fluent French and English (spoken and written)
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Capacity to work independently, analyse, synthesise, communicate, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams

What you'll do

• Maintain and improve the quality and production of orthopaedic devices
• Supervise orthoprothesists in supported centres
• Provide technical support and training to local staff
• Collect and process statistical data
• Build partnerships with local actors in Yaoundé and four sub-structures
• Stay updated on new orthopaedic techniques
• Develop and implement service procedures according to agreements and action plans
• Supervise production, cost evaluation per patient, and continuous training
• Support the PERAF education project and implement the PAM tool
• Contribute to internal and external reporting
