ICGEB’s September 2026 call offers multiple competitive fellowships for scientists at different career stages, all conducted in ICGEB laboratories.

What it offers

• Arturo Falaschi Short-term PhD Fellowships: pre-doctoral studies in ICGEB labs to fund ongoing collaborative research between Member State scientists and ICGEB research groups.
• Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships: postdoctoral research in Life Sciences for highly motivated scientists.
• Arturo Falaschi Short-term Postdoctoral Fellowships: postdoctoral studies in ICGEB labs to fund ongoing collaborative research between Member State scientists and ICGEB research groups.
• Arturo Falaschi SMART Fellowships: mobility of researchers between ICGEB Member States.
• Biotechnet Short-term Advanced Fellowships: support advanced studies at ICGEB laboratories for scientists from East Africa.
• Biotechnet Short-term PhD Fellowships: support pre-doctoral research at ICGEB laboratories for scientists from East Africa.
• ICGEB-AICAD Short-Term Postdoctoral Fellowships: postdoctoral training at ICGEB labs for scientists from Africa.

Who can apply

• Highly motivated scientists who wish to pursue research in a world-class scientific environment.
• Scientists from ICGEB Member States.
• Scientists from East Africa (Biotechnet fellowships).
• Scientists from Africa (ICGEB-AICAD fellowships).

• Submit an Expression of Interest by 14 August 2026.
• Submit a Full Application by 30 September 2026.
