Industrial and Medical Gases Nigeria Plc is seeking a hands-on Fitter/Machinist to maintain and repair industrial equipment in Lagos.

Who can apply

• Qualification: OND, Technical Diploma, Trade Test, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience: 3–5 years in mechanical fitting, machining, or industrial maintenance
• Age: 32–38 years

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, boilers, and heat exchangers
• Operate conventional workshop machines (lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinding machines)
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work orders
• Measure and inspect machined components using precision instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, bore gauges)
• Fabricate, modify, and repair machine parts to required tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of workshop machines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop in compliance with HSE policies
• Work with engineers and maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime
• Prepare maintenance and machining reports and maintain workshop records
