Tatu City Limited is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to ensure safe working conditions across its Kiambu site.

Who can apply

• Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
• Experience: 8–10 years as a safety officer, including 3 years in a supervisory role
• Certification: OSHA 30-hour certification is an added advantage

What you'll do

• Develop and implement safety management plans, policies, and strategies aligned with legislation and industry best practices
• Perform daily and scheduled audits of work sites to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements
• Prepare inspection reports, maintain injury logs, and submit findings to management and relevant government agencies
• Advise employees, contractors, and visitors on safety topics including noise, machinery use, and waste disposal
• Organize OHS training sessions, inductions for contractors, and emergency drills
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan building codes, local authority regulations, and Group policies on anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and quality standards
• Investigate complaints, accidents, disease outbreaks, and hazardous spills; identify physical, biological, and chemical risks
• Review and approve subcontractor safety plans, verify adequacy of tools and equipment, and monitor site operations for compliance
