Who can apply

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Wood Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certification in CNC machining or CAD/CAM programming is an advantage.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in both digital CNC design and physical machine operation.
• Experience in wooden product manufacturing, preferably in toy or consumer product manufacturing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Aspire (Vectric), and Fusion 360.

What you'll do

• Create 2D and 3D designs for wooden toys and educational tools.
• Convert designs into CNC-ready programs and G-code files.
• Set up, calibrate, program, and operate CNC machines to manufacture wood components.
• Prototype new toy designs and refine based on testing and feedback.
• Ensure designs meet child-safety standards (smooth edges, appropriate sizing, no sharp corners).
• Read technical drawings and configure machine setups accordingly.
• Maintain design documentation and version control.
• Optimize cutting paths and nesting programs to reduce material waste.
• Inspect finished components for precision and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or programming errors to minimize downtime.
• Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean production environment.
• Ensure final products align with Afritoys’ aesthetic and finishing standards.
