Co-operative Bank of Kenya is hiring Tele-Collectors to manage early arrears collections for MSME customers through structured outbound calling and customer engagement.

What it offers

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• At least one (1) year of experience in tele-collections, debt collections, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services or debt collection is an added advantage.
• Skills in customer engagement, negotiation, report writing, documentation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

What you'll do

• Conduct outbound calls to customers with overdue facilities to secure payment commitments and follow up.
• Engage customers professionally using approved scripts and maintain regular contact within the assigned portfolio.
• Manage allocated accounts to contain them within early arrears buckets.
• Prioritize customers requiring immediate intervention to prevent deterioration.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Team Leader.
• Promote enrolment onto Settlement Instructions and other approved solutions.
• Educate customers on repayment behaviour and available options.
• Identify and report signs of customer distress.
• Maintain accurate updates in E-Collect and other systems.
• Record all customer engagements, commitments, and outcomes.
• Support campaigns and initiatives to improve portfolio quality.
• Escalate matters requiring field visits, restructuring, legal action, or other interventions.
