Finance Officer at African Food Changemakers

African Food Changemakers is recruiting a Finance Officer to strengthen financial systems and support its agribusiness accelerator in Abuja, Nigeria.

What it offers

• Lead financial management, donor compliance, strategic planning, and systems improvement for an agribusiness accelerator.
• Produce monthly management accounts, cash-flow forecasts, donor reports, and financial dashboards for the Board.
• Support business development through proposal budgeting, earned-income modelling, and cost-benefit analyses.

Who can apply

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Qualification: ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including donor-funded projects and IFRS knowledge.
• Skills: Advanced Excel, accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage), financial dashboards.

What you'll do

• Maintain accounting records, process payments, payroll, reconciliations, and statutory reports.
• Develop grant budgets, monitor burn rates, ensure donor compliance, and support grant audits.
• Build financial models for new programmes and consultancy pricing.
• Automate processes, improve internal controls, and document procedures.
• Work with programme teams to ensure financial viability of accelerator initiatives.
