Data & Technology Manager, Acumen East & West Africa

Acumen is hiring a Data & Technology Manager to lead systems and technology for the Green RISE Africa programme, supporting data collection, management, and reporting across seven countries.

What it offers

• Lead the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of systems and technology platforms supporting the Green RISE Africa MEL framework.
• Work with a technology stack including Salesforce, FormAssembly, Google Suite, and AI-powered tools.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to automate reporting, data visualisation, and partner reporting systems.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software or Data Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent hands-on systems experience is an advantage.
• Salesforce certification required or strongly preferred (e.g., Salesforce Administrator); Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Data Cloud Consultant certification an advantage.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in a similar role, including at least 3 years of experience in developing and managing data systems, MEL databases, and reporting tools.
• Permanently authorised to work in Kenya or Nigeria.

What you'll do

• Manage and improve the Green RISE Africa technology stack to support programme implementation.
• Translate MEL team requirements into operational systems, including data collection, management, and reporting tools.
• Lead quarterly reporting processes, automated reports, infographics, and data visualisations for stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, consent, use, management, retention, reporting, and protection align with best practices.
• Build capacity of team members and partner organisations on technology solutions for MEL implementation.
• Support programmatic evaluations by ensuring all data needs are met.
