One Acre Fund seeks a Fixed-Term Weighbridge Operator to ensure accurate weighing and documentation of commodities at its Sagana, Kenya site.

Who can apply

• Citizens or permanent residents of Kenya
• 1–2 years of experience in weighbridge operations or logistics
• Basic understanding of OSHA factory safety
• Data entry accuracy and basic work planning skills
• Ability to communicate site rules clearly to drivers

What you'll do

• Operate weighbridge software to record Gross, Tare, and Net weights
• Implement a calibration protocol for all scales
• Follow strict protocols for vehicle positioning and driver conduct
• Lead monitoring of SOPs across sourcing and logistics for zero-gap compliance
• Reconcile volume purchased in the field with volume received at the factory
• Design and maintain controls for collection logs to ensure data integrity
• Issue official weighbridge tickets and verify they match delivery notes and farmer payment records
• Identify and report non-conformances; work with cross-functional teams on corrective actions
• Manage vehicle flow to prevent congestion and enforce site PPE requirements
• Ensure OSHA governance of non-staff personnel, including safety inductions and PPE compliance
• Perform quick audits of transport fleets for cleanliness and pest prevention
• Verify incoming vehicles meet required cleanliness standards
