UNFPA Young Creators Lab 2026

The UNFPA Young Creators Lab 2026 is a fully online programme designed to equip young creators and youth-led entities from Asia and the Pacific with skills to produce reliable, rights-based content on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender equality, and life skills.

What it offers

• Nine live sessions held weekly from August to October 2026, every Tuesday at 11:00 Bangkok time.
• Training across eight pillars:
  • Digital comprehensive sexuality education content production
  • Messaging for gender equality and positive masculinity
  • AI fluency for creators
  • Critical assessment of misinformation
  • Technology-facilitated gender-based violence prevention and safety by design
  • Universal design principles for the digital era
  • Audience growth and the algorithm
  • Online voice, advocacy and amplification
• Each session includes a quiz (pass mark: 70%).
• Participants who attend at least 6 of 9 sessions, pass all quizzes, complete sprints, and follow community norms receive the UNFPA Young Creators Lab Completion Certificate.
• Optional capstone project with mentor support, culminating in Premiere Day featuring the final work on UNFPA channels (subject to review and consent).
• Accessibility support: captions, screen-reader-friendly materials, low-bandwidth recordings, plain-language summaries, and a named accessibility focal point.

Who can apply

• Applicants must be aged 18 to 29.
• Must be based in a country covered by UNFPA in Asia and the Pacific.
• Must be actively creating digital content or representing a youth-led entity producing content for young audiences.
• No follower count requirement.
• Priority given to those with content interest in SRHR, gender, healthy relationships, or related areas.
• Selection aims for balance across geography, gender, disability, and inclusion, with special encouragement for young men engaged in positive masculinity and creators committed to ethical, safe, and accurate content.

• Applications accepted directly or via nomination by UNFPA Country Offices and partner youth networks.
