Brandtech Group AI for Good Scholarship 2026

The Brandtech Group AI for Good Scholarship 2026 supports five young African leaders who are using AI responsibly to address social and environmental challenges.

What it offers

Selected scholars receive:

• Access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town from 3 – 6 November
• Hotel accommodation in Cape Town between 2 and 6 November (inclusive)
• Return air travel
• Catering (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
• Ground transportation between Summit venues
• Access to Pencil AI
• Lifelong membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community
• Access to the One Young World Action Accelerator and expert-led mentor sessions
• Access to the One Young World Global Kickstart programme

Who can apply

Candidates must be:

• Aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026 (exceptions possible for older candidates with strong impact)
• Nationals and residents of any African country
• Able to demonstrate AI solutions in Africa
• Proven leaders who promote responsible AI use
• Applicants whose causes may not fit the five pillars but use AI positively and responsibly will be considered

What you'll do

Scholars will lead initiatives aligned with one or more of these pillars:

• AI for sustainability and climate change
• AI to improve education access and productivity
• AI to combat misinformation, online hate and promote social equity
• AI to address health access, inequality and mental well-being
• AI for active citizen engagement
