Assistant Project Engineer

Derive Communications Systems & Engineering Limited is hiring an Assistant Project Engineer to support project planning, technical implementation, and documentation for solar and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems in Lagos.

Who can apply

• Minimum HND in Electrical/Electronics, Renewable Energy, or Computer Engineering (or related field)
• 3–4 years of experience in renewable energy (solar), ELV, building automation, and networking projects

What you'll do

• Assist in project planning and coordination, including schedules, WBS, and execution plans
• Provide technical support for installation and testing of solar PV systems, CCTV, fire alarms, access control, digital signage, PA/BGM, building automation, structured cabling, and networking
• Prepare documentation such as site diaries, progress reports, as-built drawings, BOMs, test reports, and O&M manuals
• Conduct quality assurance and safety checks to ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, NFPA, TIA/EIA)
• Support commissioning and handover of systems including performance testing and client training
