Business Development Lead (New Business Models)

Join Roche as a Business Development Lead to execute a new IVD-access business model across Africa, starting with a pilot and scaling a replicable playbook.

Who can apply

• Minimum 5 years in the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) industry with significant market and business development exposure.
• Proven ability to translate high-level models or strategies into operational reality.
• Strong financial acumen in contracting, commercial negotiations, and managing financial viability in healthcare.
• Experience in B2B and B2C environments; direct experience in North African markets is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is highly desirable.

What you'll do

Phase 1: Pilot Leadership

• Lead on-the-ground implementation and operational scaling of the innovative model in the first pilot market.
• Drive commercial and contracting processes with laboratory network leaders for sustainable deployment and financial viability.
• Engage Key Opinion Leaders and lab stakeholders to co-build the network, shape governance frameworks, and refine business models.
• Collaborate with internal experts (legal, finance, procurement) and external partners for compliant deployment.

Phase 2 & 3: Playbook Development & Replication Support

• Translate pilot execution into a practical, replicable success model for other regions.
• Develop and empower regional and local teams through on-field coaching and guidance.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting rollout of similar business models across public and private sectors in the sub-region.
