UCT e-Track Program for South African Start-up Entrepreneurs

The UCT GSB Solution Space e-Track Programme is a two-phase venture acceleration and capacity-building initiative for high-impact entrepreneurs in South Africa and beyond, delivered in partnership with ayoba.

What it offers

• Two-phase programme: 5-week Venture Launch course for concept validation, followed by a 12-week Venture Scale course for acceleration.
• Access to ayoba industry partnership, including technical support and mentorship from field experts.
• Capacity-building masterclasses focused on founder fundamentals and core business skills.
• Advisory services from pro-bono partners and consultants (e.g., legal, HR, digital UX, venture capital).
• Feedback and guidance from mentors and industry partners.
• Co-working space and community events to support peer learning and networking.

Who can apply

• High-impact individuals and teams with innovation-driven solutions relevant to the African market and global potential.
• Teams with a working prototype/MVP and a minimum feature set ready for early-market testing.
• Ideas that have progressed beyond concept, demonstrating evidence of early market testing, customers, revenues, patents, or intellectual property filings.

What you'll do

• Participate in a 5-week Venture Launch course to validate your venture concept.
• Advance to a 12-week Venture Scale programme if selected, focusing on accelerating venture development.
• Pitch your venture to the UCT GSB Solution Space ecosystem network on Pitch Day.

How to apply

1. Submit an online application before the programme’s start date.
2. Complete the 5-week Venture Launch Programme for pre-selection.
3. Top 15 scale-ups are selected for the 12-week Venture Scale Programme.
