The BBC is hiring 2 Senior Finance Coordinators to support financial operations for BBC News in East Africa.

What it offers

• Fixed-term contract until 26 March 2027, full-time
• Based in Nairobi, Kenya

Who can apply

• Essential: Recognised professional accounting qualification (CPA(K), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and relevant finance experience
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and month-end processes
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, compliance and audit processes
• Experience using SAP and strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Desirable: Experience in an international or multinational environment; knowledge of Kenyan tax and regulatory requirements

What you'll do

• Coordinate day-to-day financial operations: supplier payments, invoicing, expense management, banking and cash management
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, reconciliations, forecasts and management information
• Lead month-end reporting and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with BBC policies and local statutory requirements
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Monitor performance of outsourced finance service providers and banking partners
