St. Theresa Mission Hospital-Kiirua in Kiirua is seeking a 1-post Internal Audit and Risk Manager to strengthen internal controls, improve compliance, and support audit and risk management in its 59-year-old healthcare operations. The role aligns with Catholic Church teachings and professional standards.

What it offers

• A position focused on audit planning, compliance oversight, risk management, and financial/operational integrity.
• Direct reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
• Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and approving annual audit plans.
  • Reviewing internal controls, financial accuracy, and asset safeguarding.
  • Preparing audit reports and liaising with external auditors.
  • Managing audit teams, risk assessments, and staff training.
  • Ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and institutional directives.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Auditing (or equivalent).
• Certifications: CPA-K, ACCA, and CISA (or equivalent).
• Experience: At least 3 years in internal audit, preferably in healthcare or a reputable audit firm.
• Additional Advantage: CFE/ERM certification.
• Professional Membership: ICPAK or relevant body.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting systems, analytical/reporting skills, and strong communication.
