What it offers

• A contract for an international multidisciplinary firm to lead a national Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) covering Djibouti’s entire territory, including Djibouti City and the five inland regions (Arta, Ali Sabieh, Dikhil, Obock, Tadjourah).
• The assessment will generate national and regional findings, identify climate hotspots, and produce evidence to inform Djibouti’s National Adaptation Plan and investment priorities.

What you'll do

• Develop and validate the CRVA methodology.
• Coordinate national and international experts.
• Conduct climate modelling and economic analysis.
• Lead national and regional consultations, validation workshops, data collection, GIS mapping, and vulnerability analysis.
• Prioritize adaptation options, perform cost-benefit analysis, and prepare a validated portfolio of gender-sensitive and bankable adaptation priorities.
• Ensure integration of environmental and social safeguards, gender equality, social inclusion, and data traceability throughout the assignment.
• Transfer all datasets, GIS layers, metadata, tools, consultation reports, and final deliverables to national institutions.
