Programme Officer – Schools, WASH and Solar

This role supports SEED Madagascar’s solar light libraries and school electrification in rural Madagascar by strengthening grant development, donor reporting, and programme delivery.

What it offers

• Two-year position (probation: 3 months), extendable
• Local salary covering accommodation and living costs
• £1,200 contribution toward flights and £650 toward insurance

Who can apply

• 1–3 years’ experience in grant writing and programme delivery
• Strong interest in renewable energy and education projects
• Grant writing experience and ability to work in English and French

What you'll do

• Develop and edit funding proposals and external reports
• Lead monitoring and evaluation of current projects
• Create and update guidelines and templates for external materials
• Liaise with London and local teams; mentor interns and junior officers
• Compile proposals using past evaluations and international best practice
• Write project reports with successes, challenges, learning, and budget details
• Provide first-stage editing and feedback on proposals and reports
