Purchase manager

Purchase manager in Uganda is a full-time role focused on end-to-end procurement for a production environment.

What it offers

• Core responsibility for purchasing raw materials aligned to production plans while keeping minimum/security stock levels.
• Ownership of supplier negotiations (prices, payment terms, delivery, quality) and relationship development with key Ugandan suppliers.
• Routine market-price reporting and weekly purchase-budget presentations.
• Stock management of raw materials and critical items, including turnover tracking.
• Payment-term management to maintain supplier credit terms and secure the best Uganda-market prices.

Who can apply

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Experience: 2–3 years of proven purchasing or procurement experience; manufacturing/production sector background is an added advantage.

• Plan and execute purchase orders in line with production schedules.
• Identify and negotiate with potential suppliers across Uganda.
• Prepare and present weekly purchasing needs.
• Monitor stock levels and turnover of raw materials.
• Report on market prices and manage payment terms.
