IT Network Administrator

Masterparts is hiring an IT Network Administrator to maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure in Cape Town’s northern suburbs.

Who can apply

• Minimum five years’ experience in a medium to large-sized organisation
• Solid understanding of Windows Server / Active Directory
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs)
• Experience with MikroTik RouterOS / Firewalls
• Familiarity with VPN fundamentals (WireGuard, OpenVPN)
• Understanding of routing concepts (static routes, NAT, basic firewall rules)
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks (UniFi software and access points)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues
• Understanding of PoE-powered devices (cameras, access points, VoIP phones)
• Certification such as CompTIA A+ / N+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, MCDBA or higher
• Must have own reliable transport

What you'll do

• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure
• Deploy and support Wi-Fi networks using UniFi software and access points
• Configure and manage MikroTik RouterOS / firewalls
• Set up and support VPN connections
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues
• Support PoE-powered devices (cameras, access points, VoIP phones)
