What you'll do

• Provide additional academic and behavioural support to identified pupils
• Work with class teachers to design and implement individualized learning plans
• Support pupils during classroom activities, helping them stay focused and engaged
• Adapt teaching materials to each child’s learning pace and ability
• Monitor and record progress, reporting to the head teacher
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
• Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding pupil progress
• Participate in professional development and school training programmes

Requirements

• Minimum of NCE, or Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Education Psychology, Primary Education or a related field
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience working with children who need additional learning or behavioural support
• Familiarity with Montessori methods and inclusive teaching strategies is an advantage
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent observation and record-keeping abilities
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability
• Ability to motivate and encourage children positively
