African Leadership Academy (ALA) offers a two-year pre-university diploma program designed to cultivate the next generation of African leaders through academic rigor, leadership development, and community engagement.

What it offers

• A two-year residential diploma program focused on leadership, ethics, and global perspectives.
• Full financial assistance for admitted students, with 97% of students receiving aid.
• All-inclusive fees covering tuition, accommodation, meals, and uniforms ($30,900 per year).

Who can apply

• Applicants must have been born on or after September 1, 2006.
• Open to students from all backgrounds and nationalities.
• Selection is based on leadership potential, intellectual readiness, courage, perseverance, ownership, and interdependence.

• Applications for the Class of 2026 are closed.
• Applications for the Class of 2027 open on July 1, 2026.
• Early Decision deadline: October 15, 2025.
• Regular Decision deadline: January 15, 2026.
• Early Decision applicants receive results in January 2025.
• Regular Decision applicants receive results in April 2026.
