Enquêteurs / Chercheurs de terrain - Burkina Faso

We are building a national roster of enumerators, field researchers, supervisors and data-collection assistants in Burkina Faso to conduct Third-Party Monitoring (TPM), humanitarian and development evaluations. Selected profiles may be deployed across all regions—including rural, conflict-affected and hard-to-reach areas—for primary data collection, impact assessments, supervision or field support.

What it offers

• Opportunities to conduct household surveys, key-informant interviews (KII) and focus-group discussions (FGD)
• Missions include verification of distributions (food, NFIs, cash/voucher assistance), post-distribution monitoring (PDM), physical verification of aid flows, beneficiary-satisfaction assessments and targeting/registration checks
• Use of mobile data-collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK or SurveyCTO
• Strict adherence to ethical standards: informed consent, confidentiality, safeguarding, PSEA, “Do No Harm” and data protection
• Submission of clean data and detailed mission reports within deadlines

Who can apply

• Candidates with proven experience in surveys, evaluations, research, TPM or humanitarian data collection
• Significant fieldwork experience in Burkina Faso
• Strong understanding of rural, pastoral, agro-pastoral, internally displaced or host communities
• Skills in quantitative household surveys and qualitative methods (KII, FGD)
• Demonstrated ability to use Android smartphones/tablets for digital data collection
• Excellent written and spoken French
• Working knowledge of local languages (Mooré, Dioula, Fulfulde/Peul, Gourmantché, etc.) is a strong asset

What you'll do

• Conduct household surveys, KIIs and FGDs
• Verify distributions of food, NFIs and cash-based assistance and assess aid quality
• Perform post-distribution monitoring to evaluate use, relevance and impact of emergency aid
• Physically verify the transport, receipt and final distribution of assistance to target communities
• Assess beneficiary satisfaction and check compliance with targeting and registration criteria
• Use mobile tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO or similar) for data collection
• Ensure informed consent, confidentiality, safeguarding, PSEA, “Do No Harm” and data protection
• Deliver reliable, cleaned data and detailed mission reports on time
